Ellen Peterson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Hypnotherapist (CHt). She is the owner of Avenues Counseling Center and has authored several self-help books. She facilitates powerful personal growth programs that transform peoples’ lives. Whether you choose to schedule a counseling appointment, read one of her books or attend a weekend program, your life is about to change!
Chrystal McGuigan is the office manager who handles billing and insurance claims and is available to answer your questions. She can be contacted at avenuescounsel@gmail.com.
Rich Shaw is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and a Credentialed Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). He has worked with adolescents and adults for 30 years in outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings. He has lived in the Ithaca area for 20 years, enjoying the local scenic beauty. He believes in helping people to manage stress and remove obstacles that get in the way of life goals and personal fulfilment. He primarily uses a cognitive behavioral therapy approach. He is a trainer of Mental Health First Aid for youth and adults. He currently offers evening appointments to individuals and couples.
